In episode 29 of the ecotherapy podcast, I invite you to reflect on your most powerful nature memories. What are your most positive memories from nature, either as a child or an adult? I share some of my own special moments and I invite reflection on your most precious memories of the beautiful outdoors. Click on the slim black player above to listen.
In this week’s nature therapy podcast, I am once again walking in the snowy hills. This has been the snowiest winter we have had in the Lothians for many years! As I walk with my dog, Euro, I speak about two powerful moments in my life when nature spoke loudly to me. Both of these simple, everyday events (one as a child, and one as an adult) have stayed with me and become part of my personal history with nature.
By digging into these simple, everyday experiences that have left a powerful mark on me, I open up the conversation. I invite you to share your own magical nature memories with me to share on future episodes of the podcast. They can be as simple as watching the waves on a holiday, or feeding the ducks as a child. Powerful moments are often the quietest and most ‘everyday’.
I believe that in these magical moments, we are experiencing ourselves as a part of something bigger, something spiritual if you like. Nature reveals the amazing mystery of life that we so often forget to acknowledge. My favourite memories from nature are as simple as seeing a hedgehog as a child, and watching a blackbird forage for food. Simple moments that I will always remember. How about you?
I hope that this week’s nature podcast finds you well my friends! Do get in touch to share your nature memories with me at stephen@naturetherapyonline.net and I will share them on the podcast (you can share them at any time, even if you stumble across this podcast in the future).
