Serene Reflection Meditation (Zazen)

A guided Zen meditation, for those interested in trying the simple (but not easy!) meditation of the Soto Zen school of Buddhism. This meditation is known as zazen—or serene reflection meditation.

Traditionally, Zazen is done sitting in an upright position facing a wall. If you’re new to meditation, you might want to try it simply sitting in a chair, facing wherever you like.

For more information on how to practise zazen and on Soto Zen Buddhism, you can download the free PDF book ‘Sitting Buddha’ by Daishin Morgan (from the Throssel Hole Buddhist Abbey in England).
